Before Troubleshooting Your GWEIKE Laser

  • Never bypass safety interlocks, water protection, or emergency-stop systems.
  • Never operate the machine with covers or doors open unless the manufacturer's procedure explicitly allows it.
  • Do not perform high-voltage electrical repairs unless properly qualified; CO₂ laser power supplies and tubes can involve dangerous high voltage.
  • Fiber and UV systems require additional optical safety precautions.
  • Never stare into a laser beam or a reflected beam.
  • Stop immediately for uncontrolled flame, abnormal smoke, a burning wiring smell, damaged optics, unexpected movement, or a safety alarm.

SECTION 01

GWEIKE Cloud Not Connecting? Fix WiFi, USB & Network Problems

GWEIKE Cloud documentation indicates Cloud workflows can use WiFi, network cable and USB, with LightBurn supported. Treat that as general compatibility information only and verify it for your exact model.

Check your specific GWEIKE model documentation before changing this setting. Procedures differ between CO₂, fiber, and UV systems and between Cloud, NOX, G-series, and MCore machines.

  1. Confirm machine status. Powered, ready, no alarm showing.
  2. Check WiFi and network visibility. Is the machine online? Router distance and an unstable wireless environment cause drops.
  3. Check USB. Try a known-good data cable and another port; confirm the computer detects it.
  4. Check network cable where supported. Verify the link and your network.
  5. Restart machine and software. Power-cycle both.
  6. Try another computer. Tells you whether the fault is the machine or the computer.
  7. Check official software requirements. Versions and supported systems per GWEIKE documentation.
Problem What to Check Next Step
Machine offline Power, WiFi/network Restart machine, check network
WiFi unavailable Router, range Move closer or use cable/USB if supported
USB not detected Cable, port Known-good cable, other port
Software cannot see machine Software, connection method Restart; check requirements
Connection drops Stability Cable, WiFi, sleep settings
Connected but job cannot start Machine state, alarms Check alarms and safety status

If the Problem Continues

Stop and contact qualified GWEIKE support or service if the issue involves electrical, high-voltage, optical-alignment, gas, or safety-system work. Collect: exact GWEIKE model, laser source (CO₂, fiber, or UV), software and version, operating system, connection method, any error message or alarm, whether the problem is consistent, photos or video where useful, and steps already tried. This helps support respond far faster.

FAQ

GWEIKE Troubleshooting FAQ

Check power, the cable or network path, computer detection, and the connection method your model supports. Restart machine and software, and try another computer to see whether the fault is the machine.

Common causes are distance from the router, an unstable wireless environment, or a network issue. Move closer, restart the machine and router, and try USB or network cable if your model supports it.

GWEIKE documentation indicates LightBurn is supported for Cloud workflows, but verify this for your exact model and use the device profile your documentation specifies.

Look at WiFi or cable stability, computer sleep, software crashes, safety interruptions, overheating, and power. Test a short file and avoid long jobs until the cause is found.

Check machine state, layer and power settings, door and emergency-stop state, interlocks, cooling status, alarms, and source selection. If electrical or power-supply diagnosis is needed, stop and contact qualified support.

Check material, thickness, laser source, focus, optics, Air Assist, exhaust, and flatness, then run a controlled test. Settings depend on model, material, lens, and source.

Do not increase power first. Check focus, optics, material, process assignment, and interval settings.

Check the exhaust fan, duct, filter, enclosure airflow, and material. Never laser unknown materials or PVC, and never vent hazardous fumes into occupied spaces.

Check the air source, hose, fittings, valve, nozzle, and electrical or control state per your model's documentation.

Blurry results usually point to focus, material height, flatness, or a dirty lens.

Uneven material, bed height, focus variation, or, on CO₂ machines, beam alignment can cause this. Test with flat material first.

Material thickness or height changes the focal distance. Re-focus when you change materials or if the surface is uneven, per your model's procedure.

Inspect visually with the machine off and cool, and clean only with the manufacturer-approved method. Contact support if the lens looks damaged.

Check lens and mirror cleanliness, mechanical stability, head or nozzle condition, and cooling. For alignment, follow the official procedure or contact qualified service.

Low flow, temperature alarms, blocked or kinked hoses, or chiller faults. Stop the job, never bypass water protection, and follow your model manual.

Check for obstructions, limit switch activation, alarms, and axis movement. Never bypass limit switches or safety sensors.

Machine, software, artwork, and camera positions can disagree. Check origin settings, framing, work area configuration, and material placement.

CO₂ systems involve non-metals, optics and mirrors, cooling, and Air Assist. Fiber systems involve metal, focus, nozzle, and assist gas. Do not mix the two.

Identify which source you are using, then check that source's focus, optics, assist, and material settings. Do not apply parameters from the other source.

Contact support for electrical, high-voltage, optical-alignment, gas, or safety-system issues, or when basic checks fail. Bring your model, source, software version, error messages, and steps tried.
